Auditorium 3.5

Python-scripted live presentations

A tour of every primitive — in one deck.

Intro

What is Auditorium?

02
Layouts

Two-Column Layout

Left Column

This is the main content area, taking up two-thirds of the width.

  • Point A
  • Point B
  • Point C

Right Column

This is the sidebar, taking up one-third.

A useful note.

Header / Body / Footer

Fixed Header

This body region stretches to fill the available space.

Add more content and the body grows, but the header and footer stay put.

This is rows(["auto", 1, "auto"]) — the classic flexbox pattern.

Fixed footer — always at the bottom.

Nested Layouts

Top-Left

Top-Right

Bottom (full width)

Rows inside columns inside rows — it all nests cleanly.

Animations

Progressive List (Top-Aligned)

New lines appear at the top, pushing down:

  1. First item — reading position stays stable
  2. Second item — no content reflow
  3. Third item — content grows downward
  4. Fourth item — this is what stable_top was for

Definition 2.1 (Continuity)

A function f:X→Yf: X \to Y is continuous at x0x_0 if for every ε>0\varepsilon > 0 there exists δ>0\delta > 0 such that ∣x−x0∣<δ|x - x_0| < \delta implies ∣f(x)−f(x0)∣<ε|f(x) - f(x_0)| < \varepsilon.

Theorem 2.3 (Extreme Value)

Every continuous function on a compact set attains its maximum.

Proof

By compactness, the image f(K)f(K) is compact in R\mathbb{R}, hence closed and bounded — so sup⁡f(K)∈f(K)\sup f(K) \in f(K). ■\blacksquare

Example

f(x)=x2f(x) = x^2 on [−1,1][-1, 1] attains its max value 11 at x=±1x = \pm 1.

Code Highlighting

from auditorium import Deck

deck = Deck(title="My Talk")

@deck.slide
async def hello(ctx):
    await ctx.md("# Hello, World!")
    await ctx.step()
    await ctx.md("This is **auditorium**.")

Mathematics with KaTeX

Euler's identity:

eiπ+1=0e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0

The Gaussian integral:

∫−∞∞e−x2dx=π\int_{-\infty}^{\infty} e^{-x^2} dx = \sqrt{\pi}

Linear 0.81 0.79
Tree 0.86 0.85
MLP 0.89 0.88

Jupyter Display Protocol

ctx.show(obj) honors _repr_html_ / _repr_svg_ / _repr_png_ automatically.

matplotlib
pandas
altair
